About our facility and coaches

I have been involved in gymnastics most of my life, and I am also a state of Iowa gymnastics champion. I started gymnastics at a fairly young age, and competed for a private club in Davenport, Iowa for several years. After graduation I chose to attend the University of Northern Iowa, which offered no gymnastics program. However, they did have a great cheerleading program, and I found myself using my gymnastics skills to cheer for UNI while I earned my BA in Biology (Pre-med) with Business and Chemistry minors. After graduating and having kids I was fortunate enough to get back into the sport of gymnastics by coaching. I volunteered my time at clubs in the area, and later decided to open my own gymnastics facility. Dolphin Gymnastics came to life in 2007. The first year I coached just my two daughters, and in 2008 I took on several more students and it has continued to grow from there. Our gymnasts have been very successful and have achieved several state titles! I have now been coaching for about 18 years, and this is truly my passion in life.
